Soldiers often stationed far from home during holidays are usually treated to special meals, not the usual Army food, to mark the occasion. Units will sometimes create a menu to show the soldiers what food they can expect for their Thanksgiving dinner. This menu, also containing a unit roster, was created by the Soldiers of the Ft. Eustis Station Hospital. The Soldiers of this unit celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday while stationed at Fort Eustis, Virginia, in 1949.
