About the Transportation One Army School System

The U.S. Army Transportation School is headquartered at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA where it operates as a geographically distributed One Army School System (OASS) comprised of resident courses taught at its three (3) main campuses with satellite locations providing instruction for Transportation Functional Courses at Active Duty, Army National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve installations. The Transportation School also supports other installations and overseas locations with Mobile Training Teams (MTT).

Transportation School Mobile Training Teams (MTT)

Transportation School Mobile Training Teams (MTT) are designed to supplement support to units and installations where satellite courses are not available due to density of unit population or location. The process for requesting a MTT is as follows:

  • Unit requests for MTTs must be submitted to their Major Subordinate Element (MSE)/Army Service Component Command (ASCC) G3.
  • Army Command (ACOM)/ASCC G3 submits MTT request to Human Resources Command (HRC). If programmed quotas or a class is available and HRC validates the requirement, HRC will instruct Training and Doctrine Command’s (TRADOC) Training Operations Management Activity (TOMA) to schedule the training. If programmed quotas have been exhausted, the ACOM/ASCC G3 submits a Training Requirements Arbitration Panel (TRAP) action to HRC.
  • HRC schedules all Soldiers in the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) for Professional Military Education (PME) MTTs. MSE G3/ASCC ATRRS managers schedule Soldiers in ATRRS for functional course MTTs. Reservations for functional course MTTs should be completed no later than 45 days prior to class start date.

Training Requirements Arbitration Panel (TRAP):

This is the process used to request additional training quotas when programmed quotas have been exhausted. Without requesting additional quotas through the TRAP process, the course may not be adequately resourced in the year of execution and could potentially negatively impact future programming. TRAP action process: MSE G3- ACOM/ASCC G3-HRC- HQDA G1- TRADOC TOMA-TRADOC Schools.

  • Units that request MTTs during the execution year will be referred to the TRAP process which will require the unit to fund the MTT.
