Colonel Sharon R. Duffy graduated St. Lawrence University in 1979 and was commission a second lieutenant in the Transportation Corps.

During her 30 year career, she served in multiple overseas assignments, including deployments to Bosnia in support of NATO operations and Iraq and Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She commanded the 513th Transportation Company, 142nd Corps Support Battalion, and 43rd Corps Support Group. Other key assignments include Instructor, United States Military Academy; Division Transportation Officer (DTO), 6th Infantry Division; Deputy Commander, 3rd Corps Support Command; and Deputy Commander, 21st Theater Support Command.

Her decorations include: Legion of Merit, Bronze Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with Silver Leaf Clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
