Command Sergeant Major Kenneth E. Hood III

Command Sergeant Major Kenneth E. Hood III is a native of Columbus, OH. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in October 1994. He attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Sill, OK as an Artilleryman (13B). In 2002, he was medically reclassed as a Stevedore (88H) and completed advanced and individual training at Fort Eustis.

CSM Hood’s operational deployments include Kosovo (KFOR), Kuwait in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

His military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course (BNCOC), Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course (ANCOC), First Sergeant Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Joint Planning Course, Support Operation Phase I/II Course. He is a graduate of the United States Army’s Sergeants Major Academy Class 66. CSM Hood has a Associate in General Studies from Excelsior College and a Bachelor of Business Management from Trident University.
