Colonel Craig B. Hymes was commission through the Indiana University of Pennsylvania ROTC program. While attending college, he joined the USAR in 1981, was commissioned into the USAR as an Ordnance Officer in 1983. Upon graduation was recommissioned in 1984 into the Transportation Corps. He served the Army for 28 years.
He commanded the 100th Transportation Company, 10th Transportation Terminal Battalion, and 597th Transportation Terminal Group. Other key assignments include Joint Operations Planning and Execution Officer, U.S. Joint Forces Command; Transportation Organization Integrator, DAMO-FMO (G3); and Faculty Advisor, US Marine Corps Command and Staff College.
Upon retirement in 2009, he served as Director of Transportation, Supreme Group USA. He currently serves as the National Defense Transportation Association’s Executive Vice President, and Senior Vice President, Operations.
His decorations include: Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (w/4OLCs), Army Commendation Medal (w/2OLCs), and Army Achievement Medal (w/OLC).
