Command Sergeant Major LaDerek T. Green

CSM Green is a native of McComb, Mississippi and enlisted into the United States Army in 1991. He graduated Basic Training from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and Advanced Individual Training from Redstone Arsenal Huntsville, Alabama as an Ammunition Stock Accountant Specialist. He later re-classed to the Military Occupational Specialty of Motor Transport Operator.

During his career, CSM Green served in a variety of NCO leadership positions and assignments, all with distinction. His many assignments include service with the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment’s, Regimental Support Squadron as Truck Master, and in the 94th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Infantry Division as SPO NCOIC and First Sergeant. Additionally, CSM Green’s assignments include service with the Combined Arms Support Command as First Sergeant, the Army Best Warrior Competition at Fort Lee, Virginia as Operations Sergeant Major, the 595th Transportation Brigade at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait as Operations Sergeant Major and Senior Transportation Supervisor; 330th Transportation BN (MC), Ft Bragg, NC as Battalion Command Sergeant Major, 595th Transportation Brigade at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait as Brigade Command Sergeant Major, and the NCO Leadership CoE & USASMA (Department of Command Leadership) Facilitator, 19ESC Command Senior Enlisted Leader.

CSM Green’s deployments include, but not limited to: Operation Joint Endeavor in Bosnia; Operation Joint Guard in Kosovo; Operation Iraqi Freedom (two tours), and Operation Enduring Freedom.

CSM Green is a graduate of numerous educational courses, to include the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 64, the Army War College Nominative Leaders Course and the National Defense University Command Senior Enlisted Keystone Course. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management (Magna Cum Lade), a Master of Arts degree in Management and Leadership, Liberty University (High Distinction), and earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

CSM Green's awards and decorations include: the Legion of Merit, (2nd Award) Bronze Star Medal (2nd Award), the Meritorious Service Medal (4th Award), the Army Commendation Medal ( 4th Award), Army Achievement (12th Award), the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and numerous foreign and service awards. CSM Green's badges include the Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Senior Instructor Badge.

CSM Green is a member of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club, recipient of the Transportation Corps’ Ancient Order of Saint Christopher, and Ordnance Corps’ Order of Samuel Sharpe. CSM Green is a Demonstrated Master Logistician through the SOLE International Society of Logistics, and a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
