Chief Warrant Officer Four Brashears entered the Army in 1985 and served 24 years as an Army Transporter. She was accessed as a Warrant Officer in 1994 as a Marine Deck Officer.
She served in a vast number of positions on Army landing craft and tugboats during her career, including commanding the 469th Logistics Support Vessel and supporting operations/ exercises in Haiti, Kuwait, Thailand, and Australia. She assisted with development of the Joint High Speed Vessel Bridge Simulator to train high-speed navigation and piloting.
CSM Bartee's previous deployments include Kuwait “Desert Storm/Desert Shield”; Iraq “Operation Iraqi Freedom”; Kuwait “Operation Enduring Freedom”; Afghanistan “Operation Enduring Freedom”; and Iraq “Operation Inherent Resolve”; and Afghanistan “Operation Freedom Sentinel”.
Upon retirement in 2009, she continued to serve the Army and is currently a Joint Concepts Team Lead for Army Futures Command’s Sustainment CDID.
Her decorations and awards include: Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with one Silver and one Oak Leaf Clusters, TRADOC Active Duty WO Instructor of the Year (2001) and TC AC WO of the Year (2003).
